Product Details
Ant Hill Garnet, also known as Chrome Pyrope, is an extraordinary stone exclusively found on the Navajo Lands in the Four Corners region of Arizona. Anthill Garnets get their name as a result of how they are found and collected; gathered by hand after ants push the rough materials out of the earth as they build their homes, leaving pieces to āfloatā to the surface. Only Navajo collectors born in the region have permission to gather these stones using a meticulous and intentional process, meaning this stone is a truly rare piece! This marquise brilliant cut gemstone possesses a rich historical and spiritual significance that deserves to be highlighted in a custom ring, bracelet or pendant!
Garnet has a hardness of 7.5 on the Mohs scale. Garnets are also the birthstone for January and are used to celebrate 2nd anniversaries.Ā
Additional Information
- This stone is photographed in professional studio lighting that mimics natural sunlight of 5500 degrees kelvin and videoed outdoors the same.
- We do not reserve stones for any customer expressing interest in a particular stone. You must complete the purchase of the stone to save and reserve it for yourself!
